Meet the Trainer
Alexandria Stevenson
With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Bakersfield, and years of experience supporting children, youth, and families, I am dedicated to empowering caregivers and professionals with the skills needed to create positive, nurturing environments. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy to deepen my ability to guide families, educators, and care teams in fostering resilience and well-being.
As a certified trainer and holder of an STRTP Administrator certificate, I specialize in providing training and support to direct care providers in Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs (STRTPs), as well as to parents, foster parents, and teachers. My certifications include:
- Managing Aggressive Behavior (MAB)
- Residential Child and Youth Care Professional (RCYCP)
- CPR and First Aid for all ages
- Positive Discipline Parent Educator
- Nurturing Parenting Educator
- Certified Trauma-Informed Practitioner
I strive to equip caregivers and professionals with practical, evidence-based tools to manage challenging behaviors, build trauma-informed practices, and create environments where children and youth can thrive. Whether working with STRTP staff, supporting foster parents, or training educators, my goal is to deliver accessible, inclusive programs that promote growth, understanding, and connection.
